Learning to sew

I have recently started teaching people how to use their sewing machines and get started with sewing.

If you have a sewing machine that has been sat in the dark for too long, I can help you get familiar with it and start creating the things you want to make.

Sewing Machine

You'll learn how to thread the machine, the stitches that your machine is capable of - and when to use them. Problem solving your machine is an essential too.

Working from a pattern

We can work through understanding bought patterns, from darts to notches. You'll be able to make a garment.

Home Service

I currently do not have much room at my workshop, so I'll come to your home and teach you. You'll need a kitchen table or similar with a clear work area for laying out fabrics.

Equipment

I'll give you a list of all the things you'll need to get started with sewing, and also let you in to some top tips for sewing joy.
